Ganderbal Police Detain 39 Individuals in Major Crackdown to Dismantle Terror Ecosystem

In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Ganderbal Police have detained 39 individuals under preventive measures as part of a comprehensive effort to dismantle the terror ecosystem and curb subversive activities in the district.
The operation, launched across multiple locations in Ganderbal, targeted the residences of J&K Nationals Operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (JKNOPs) as well as surrendered and ex-militants. The crackdown followed credible intelligence indicating their involvement in activities that could disrupt public peace and pose a threat to security.
During the raids, police teams recovered several digital devices and incriminating materials, which have been seized for detailed forensic analysis. The detained individuals were later shifted to Dignibal Jail under preventive detention laws.
The coordinated action was carried out under the supervision of senior officers and forms part of a broader strategy to eradicate remnants of terror infrastructure, disrupt support networks, and prevent the spread of radical ideologies among local youth.
The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace, order, and stability in Ganderbal. Efforts are continuing to identify individuals or groups providing logistical or ideological support to anti-national elements.
