Baramulla Police Celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with Spirit of Patriotism and Unity in Tangmarg.

Plantation drives, marathons, and unity marches mark the day across Gulmarg Sub Division

Tangmarg, Oct 31:
In a remarkable display of patriotism and solidarity, Tangmarg Police, under the overall supervision of SSP Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas — the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India — with a series of vibrant events across the Gulmarg Sub Division.

The celebrations, led by SDPO Tangmarg Faizan Ali, DySP Ops Afeer Jalal, SHO Tangmarg Sheikh Aadil, SHO Kunzer Shabir Ahmad, and SHO Gulmarg Dr. Haroon Kar, witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, personnel, and locals alike.

The day began with pledge ceremonies held at the Sub-Divisional Police Office Tangmarg and at Police Stations Tangmarg and Kunzer, where officers reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ideals of national unity, integrity, and internal security — principles that define Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India.

Adding to the patriotic fervour, plantation drives were conducted across police establishments, blending the spirit of national integration with the message of environmental responsibility and sustainable growth.

To further mark the occasion, joint unity marches and Run for Unity marathons were organized in collaboration with CAPFs and other sister agencies, symbolizing collective strength, discipline, and harmony.

Speaking on the occasion, senior officers highlighted the timeless relevance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy, calling upon the youth to emulate his dedication and commitment towards a strong and united India.

“Unity is our biggest strength — the foundation on which India stands. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas reminds us that despite our diversity, we are one nation, one people, and one purpose,” the officers said.

The day concluded with patriotic slogans echoing through Tangmarg and Kunzer, as the tricolour fluttered proudly over police establishments — a powerful tribute to the man who forged India’s unity through vision and courage.
