Thousands of employees united at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, demanding #RestoreOPS & 8th Pay Commission! AINPSEF leads the charge for a secure future.

AINPSEF Stages Massive Rally at Jantar Mantar, Demands Old Pension Scheme and 8th Pay Commission
New Delhi, November 9, 2025: Thousands of government employees converged at Jantar Mantar on Sunday for a national-level demonstration organized by the All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF), demanding the immediate restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission.
Led by National President Dr. Manjeet Singh Patil, the protest saw strong representation from across the country, including a prominent delegation from Jammu and Kashmir. The J&K chapter was led by UT President Mr. Rafeeq Malik, General Secretary Mr. Sheikh Aakash, Senior Vice President Mr. Rather Riyaz, and Chief Coordinator Mr. Nasir Ahmad Reshi.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Rafeeq Malik pledged unwavering support to the federation’s demands and praised Dr. Patil’s leadership in advocating for employee rights. He highlighted Dr. Patil’s previous visits to Jammu and Kashmir to educate employees on the differences between NPS, UPS, and OPS.
Mr. Malik also thanked Mr. Bharat Patil, President of the Madhya Pradesh Chapter, for his continued solidarity. In response, Mr. Bharat Patil vowed to travel to Jammu and Kashmir if needed to bolster the movement.
In his address, Dr. Manjeet Singh Patil assured participants that the Central Government would address key employee concerns within the next four months. He revealed that he has been invited for a crucial dialogue with government officials on November 11, 2025, to discuss NPS-related issues.
The J&K leadership welcomed the upcoming meeting as a significant breakthrough. “We are confident that under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a just and lasting solution will be reached,” the delegation stated.
The demonstration concluded peacefully, with participants expressing hope that their long-pending grievances would soon be resolved.
